Toilet Paper, or The Lack Thereof
One thing about having six kids is, you run out of stuff a lot faster. We never have enough food around here because I hate grocery shopping. I just can’t bring myself to buy it as fast as they would like to eat it. I bought two cartons of ice cream yesterday and it’s gone.
And it’s not just food. We go through toilet paper like you wouldn’t believe. I don’t know where the stuff goes—I think they eat it (possibly because I won’t buy food). I put out a new roll and a couple of hours later, poof, it’s gone.
Our church youth group helps out sometimes at a local food pantry, one that gives boxes of food and household products to low-income households. The amount of food they give you depends on the size of the family. More people, more food.
One of the kids who was helping pointed out, “They give extra bread for extra kids, but no matter how many people there are, they only give each family one roll of toilet paper.”
Toilet paper. One of the expenses of having more than 2.3 kids that you just don't think about until there isn't any, and you could swear you just replaced that roll two hours ago.
