Such a boring post. Nice weather, isn't it?
Actually, due to my obsession with accuracy, I felt the need to update my Air Conditioner post from earlier in the summer.
I said that we have weather in the nineties all through August. Oddly, the past couple of weeks have been like late September. Cool at night. Warm, but not unpleasantly so, during the day. And it has that September feel. There's the scent of early fall in the air, the leaves are just starting to dry up and trickle off the trees, and I'm wondering how many more times we'll have to mow the yard.
It's odd. School starts Monday, and usually the first week of school is dreadfully hot for the kids in our (as-yet-un-air conditioned) elementary school. Our girls will want to take water bottles the first week, because everyone does.
We had tornadoes in January, too. Not normal.
So I'm posting this, in case, well, in case the automobile and its emissions have caused globally uncertain weather to descend upon us, and next week Missouri is devastated by a cyclone/tidal wave/ice floe, and we are all frozen in a glacier, only to be uncovered thousands of years from now. If they thaw my computer and reconstruct this blog, they won't have to say, "What was with these people? Didn't they notice that the world was coming to an end?"
So we don't need the air conditioner so much right now. But by golly, it's still humid, so there.
