It's Come To This

I'm wearing a sweatshirt that says "Chamber Choir 2006" and "Contest Here We Come" on the front, and "Tillie-Bell" on the back.

It was my daughter's shirt last year, in her senior year of high school. She doesn't seem to want it this year. She gets sweatshirts and hoodies fairly often, since so many activities provide a shirt. Be in the school play, you get a shirt. Join a club, you get a shirt.

So I'm wearing it. I don't buy clothes for myself much any more. Why should I, when there are perfectly good clothes around the house that no one is using? So it's come to this: I have reached a point in my life where I wear my kids' hand-me-downs.

She has a high school letter jacket too, a major Christmas gift from two years ago. She doesn't want that any more either. My husband says if any more of the kids want letter jackets, he's getting HIS name put on them.
